About
Echo Night with Xander Davis is a "late-night themed" audio talk show hosted by Xander Davis on Echo Fiction, as a way to discuss the latest developments and personalities in audio theatre and promote upcoming releases. Its studio audience, "sound stage" setting, and house band are purposely fake, parodying late night talk shows of major Hollywood celebrities here for the audio theatre community. Often Xander will suggest listeners of the show are hearing it LIVE, which is obviously false.
The cast records lines separately based loosely on a script, with some improv, mixed together in post-production with Adobe Audition. However, interviews are recorded as real-time interactions over Skype, while the host and the interviewee pretend to actually be "in the studio."
