About

Doctor Who: The Eighth Doctor Adventures is a Big Finish Productions sci-fi adventure audio series based off of the popular Doctor Who BBC series starring Paul McGann as the Doctor.

The Eighth Doctor is an enthusiastic figure who explores the universe for the sheer love of it: though always ready to tackle problems when they arise, he relies on brilliant improvisation rather than elaborate plans. He is passionate, direct, sympathetic and emotionally accessible, yet this is balanced by occasional feelings of self-doubt and weariness of his endless battles against evil.

These adventures take place after the 1996 Doctor Who TV Movie and after the Eight Doctor's adventures with Charley Pollard.

First Television Appearance: Doctor Who - The TV Movie (Here at IMDb)
First Chronological Big Finish Audio Appearance: Storm Warning

Characters

THE DOCTOR (Paul McGann) - The Doctor is a Time Lord, an extraterrestrial scientist from the planet Gallifrey, who wanders time and space in an internally vast time machine called the TARDIS - Time And Relative Dimension(s) In Space. The Doctor explores the universe at random, using his extensive knowledge of science, technology and history (from his perspective) to avert whatever crises he encounters. The Doctor generally travels with one or more companions. Most of these make a conscious decision to travel with him, but others, like Lucie Miller, are accidental passengers.

LUCIE MILLER (Sheridan Smith) - Lucie Miller from Blackpool arrives unexpectedly on the TARDIS in the Doctor's presence, transported there by the Time Lords for mysterious reasons not entirely clear to even Lucie. What secret does Lucie Miller hold?

THE HEADHUNTER (Katrina Olsson) - Who is this mysterious woman? Her identity and purpose elude both Lucie and the Doctor.
