Biography
Laurie Ewer is a professional actor, dancer, and singer from the US.
Ms. Ewer was last seen as "Candace" in the world premiere of "Ax of Love," written and directed by Academy-Award winning playwright/ screenwriter, Ernest Thompson ("On Golden Pond") at the West End Studio Theatre in New England. Past roles include Petra in "A Little Night Music" (Seacoast Repertory Theatre: Spotlight Award Nomination); Sarah in the new off-off Broadway rock-opera "Soul Searching," Maggie in "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" (Actor's Workshop); Emily in "Our Town" (The New Exeter Players); Hodel in "Fiddler on the Roof" (Hackmatack Playhouse: Spotlight Award Nomination); Dee Dee in "No More Secrets" (Get-A-Clue Production's Tour 2004); Belle in "Uncle Ebenezer" (The Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts); Sally in "A Lie of the Mind" (The Players' Ring: Spotlight Award Nomination); as well as regular voiceover appearances for The Grist Mill Radio series. Laurie is a member of the Generic Film Company, and her theatre arts company, Bend Rovato Arts & Theatre, produced her original play, "Happy Girl," at the Calder Bookshop Theatre in London, UK in July, 2007.
