Alexa Chipman
Actor
Biography
My background is mostly in stage and dance in which I've worked backstage since I was around six. I was a part of: Peninsula Ballet Theatre, Redwood Empire Ballet, Marin Ballet and Marin Dance Theatre as well as several other companies and some dance films. Some of the productions included: "The Chronicles of Narnia", "The Great Divorce", "Bijoux", "Nutcracker" in five different versions, "The Last Unicorn", "Giselle", "Napoli", "Swan Lake" and many more.
I've been editing video/film since 2000 and always hated the audio aspect so I usually do silent films with music. It is perhaps ironic that I became so interested in audio, and I'm still learning how to adapt to it. I've always liked to write, and I have a history book published "Far & Away: History of Lady Washington" which is about trade in the 1700s and the sailing vessel Lady Washington. I'm currently researching and writing four more history books, also maritime oriented, though one is on parliament during the pre-American Revolution years. Where I am going with that is that I was in Oxford researching and had the idea for my first big audio series which is Maudelayne. I tried Darker Projects but they just sat on it and BrokenSea approached me and offered to consider it so I sent them in the first three scripts and the rest, as they say, is history. Since then I've gone on to write many more audio series' and cofound Imagination Lane Audio Productions.
